RST Ships NH90 Maintenance Training Rig

RST Ships NH90 Training Rig to Germany Army`s International Helicopter Training Centre

BERG, Germany – February 15, 2016 -- A full-featured and highly realistic NH90 maintenance training rig (MTR) left Reiser Simulation and Training’s Berg headquarters today, destined for the Internationales Hubschrauberausbildungszentrum VI in Fassberg, a key educational facility for training aircraft technical personnel of the Germany Army Aviation Corps.

It is the third such rig delivered to the German armed forces, and the fifth overall developed by Reiser. All were delivered on time and on budget to their respective customers.

The MTR is an exact, non-flying replica of the NH90 and will be used by maintenance and onboard technical personnel for training on the systems and components of the popular rotorcraft. The rig, developed to the exacting standards of Reiser’s manufacturing processes, consists of more than 900 procedures for training of the maintenance crews. By using such a precise model of the real aircraft, crews get more access to real-world training without having to tie up an actual helicopter or subject it to the stress of continuous maintenance training procedures.

“We are pleased to ship our fifth MTR to the NH90 partner community and provide a cost-effective and efficient way to improve the skills and professionalism required by crews to keep this type of rotorcraft safe and in top working condition,” said Dr. Roman Sperl, CEO at Reiser.

The official inauguration of the NH90 training rig will take place in Fassberg on February 25.
